Portraits for NHS Heroes is an art project held during the Covid 19 Pandemic.
British portrait artist, Tom Croft, was creatively blocked during lockdown and put out an offer to paint a free portrait for the first NHS worker to respond. Croft received so many requests that he eventually connected 500 NHS workers with as many professional artist volunteers. As a portrait artist, I felt compelled to participate and in doing so, was teamed with nurse, Ruby, known for her compassionate work and unwavering spirit on the Covid frontlines.
It's a stunning physical record and testament to the NHS workers at their most challenging time."

Nasty Women is a response to this divisive time in media, politics, and history. The sexist overtone that has loomed over our country this past year throughout our presidential campaign has called many women to action through various forms of outrage and dissent. Nasty Women is a culmination of our collective fears, anger, frustration, determination, and strength to both process our new political climate, as well as to face it head on. Nasty Women examines our “new normal” and how that relates to our identity and culture.
